BG 1) Statewide check (Minnesota) – gross misdemeanor and felony convictions $29.00

We access the state’s computer system to check for felony (e.g. rape, robbery, murder, etc.), gross misdemeanor

(e.g.

drunken driving, etc.) and some misdemeanor offenses related to the subject of the background inquiry.

This

is the

same check used by many in the criminal justice community to make decisions regarding the setting of

bail

and the

acceptance of plea bargains, etc.

This check generally won’t locate matters related to smaller offenses such as “disorderly conduct” or

“possession

of a

small amount of marijuana”. It won’t locate any civil cases (think Judge Judy and The People’s

Court), records

from

another state, federal (i.e. United States) offenses, juvenile records, offenses that took

place more than

fifteen

years ago, offenses that were not reported to the agency by the local (city or county) law

enforcement

agency as

required, or offenses that did not result in a conviction.

In order for us to conduct this check using official government records, we need the subject’s complete date of

birth.

If you do not provide that date of birth, we rely on a secondary (unofficial) source of information that is not

considered

as up to date, but which purchases their information from the state.

This is a good place to start any background check, and is used by virtually everyone within the private detective

and

law enforcement community. It is not however, as all encompassing as many (most really) would have you

believe.

BG 2) Statewide check (Wisconsin) – Criminal Only

We access Wisconsin’s official court system computer database, from a remote terminal, to locate criminal

matters

involving the subject of the background inquiry. The information we obtain has been entered into the

Wisconsin

official court system’s computers by official government employees and is as accurate as an hour old.

All criminal

records, from petty misdemeanors (e.g. traffic offenses) to felonies (e.g. robbery), are generally

included.

This check will not locate juvenile delinquencies, criminal matters within Portage County, or non-conviction data.

However, it will locate court cases that are currently open. We do not report civil matters (e.g., divorces,

lawsuits,

etc.)

as part of this background check.

No date of birth is required to conduct this search, but it’s useful to us

in order

to differentiate people with

similar

names.

This is a good search to conduct given Wisconsin’s western border

's close proximity

to the “twin cities” of

Minneapolis and St.

Paul.

Many people who work in the twin cities actually reside across the border in

Wisconsin,

“Speed 87 / 55”,

This information does not include criminal / traffic / petty records in either Hennepin (think Minneapolis and a few

surrounding suburbs) or Ramsey County (St. Paul)

unless

the case resulted in or required a court appearance. In

words – if someone was charged with speeding in Minneapolis, and simply paid his fine without going to

court, it won’t

While the information we obtain does come directly from the 87 county courts throughout the state of Minnesota,

BG 11) “Arrested / Jailed” Data Report – Single Check

This report provides arrest information on the subject of your background inquiry. The information comes from

city

and county jails. Most are in and around the twin cities metropolitan area, but various counties are

searched

throughout the state of Minnesota. Over 400 new arrests are reported daily, and our search can find

arrests that

have

occurred from 1 day to several years ago (varies according to jurisdiction). We’ll report to you

the agency

that the

person was arrested by, the city or county jail that they were booked into, the charge that got

them

arrested in the first

place, and the date of the offense.

While no exact date of birth is required from us to conduct this search, we ask for an approximate age and at

least

some birth date information, if available, to narrow our search results. This is particularly true if the name of

the

subject of the inquiry is common (e.g. Johnson, Smith, etc.)
