SUB CONTRACTORS:
Blue Heron Investigations is committed to expanding its network of licensed private investigators /
private detectives to call upon to assist us with our clients' investigation needs. We are currently
paying between $50.00 and $110.00 per hour to private investigators / private detectives depending
on specialty. If interested, and if you're a private investigator / private detective who believes that
you meet our minimum qualifications as a private investigator / private detective, then we invite you
to contact us to discuss your services. Please be aware that, because of commitments that we’ve
made to our clientelle regarding our investigation services, we are only interested in working with
licensed private investigator / private detective agency owners – not their unlicensed private
investigator / private detective employees.
Minimum qualifications for sub-contract work, as a private investigator / private detective, include:
- Being licensed by the Minnesota Board of Private Detective and Protective Agent Services or by
the governing state agency for Private Investigators / Private Detectives in the state in which the
investigation work is to be conducted. Employees of a Private Investigator / Private Detective
license holder are not considered qualified by us to receive sub-contracted investigation work.
- Maintaining a minimum of $1,000,000.00 liability insurance for your private detective agency, or for
yourself as a licensed private investigator / private detective, as well as proper bonding as
required by Minnesota state statutes.
- Having a minimum of fifteen (15) years of private investigation / private detective experience, or
commensurate experience directly related to the service being offered.
- Having no founded complaints on file with the Minnesota chapter of the Better Business Bureau, or
the chapter in which the work is being provided / investigated regardless of whether or not the
complaint stemmed from services provided as a private investigator or private detective.
- Having no founded complaints on file with the Minnesota Board of Private Detective and Protective
Agent Services, or the licensing board in the state in which the service is being provided, related
to either yourself as an individually licensed private detective / private investigator, or as a private
detective agency.
- Maintaining membership(s) in a state or national association(s) for private investigators / private
detectives.
- Meeting, and preferably exceeding, continuing educational requirements for private investigators /
private detectives as defined by the Minnesota Board of Private Detective and Protective Agent
Services.
- Professing demonstrable skills that compliment those being offered by Blue Heron Investigations,
particularly if those skills can be provided within Minnesota in the twin cities of either Minneapolis
or St. Paul.
- Willingness to adhere to Blue Heron Investigations’ “Code of Ethics” related to conduct associated
with providing services as a private investigator / private detective or private detective agency as
defined on this site.
- Willingness to travel to provide investigation services, and maintaining a valid US passport.
- Willingness to sign non-disclosure / confidentiality agreements to maintain the confidentiality of
high profile clientele who may retain Blue Heron Investigations to provide investigation services.
- Professing demonstrable abilities to work well with people of various backgrounds - i.e., from
corporate personnel, lawyers, publicly known figures, other licensed private investigators / private
detectives, as well as members of the non investigator general public to including those of
"questionable character" and backgrounds.
